What's the Update:
Google did not release a new standalone update in July 2025. However, the June 2025 Core Update (started June 30) officially finished rolling out on July 17, 2025. This caused continued ranking shifts and volatility throughout July.
How It Affects:
- Many sites saw delayed ranking movements even after the official rollout was complete.
- Some websites experienced partial recovery if they had been hit by earlier updates.
- Sites with thin, outdated, or unhelpful content remained unstable in rankings.
Solution:
- Keep monitoring keyword rankings and organic traffic until performance stabilizes.
- Continue improving content depth, freshness, and expertise (E-E-A-T).
- Strengthen internal linking and remove/merge thin or outdated pages.
- Focus on long-term quality rather than short-term fixes, since core updates evaluate the overall site.
